The Office of the Governor Proclamation Executive Department State of Idaho
Whereas, Idaho has declared this as the Generation of the Child; and
Whereas, the health and well-being of children is our collective responsibility; and
Whereas, the safety of our children is a significant concern for parents, community leaders, and health care givers; and
Whereas, environmental welfare is of universal concern and deserves our utmost attention; and
Whereas, when started in early childhood, proper health, safety and environmental habits can be maintained for a lifetime, thus producing valued members of society and enhancing our community overall;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DIRK KEMPTHORNE, Governor of the State of Idaho, do hereby proclaim May 19, 2001 to be
KIDS DAY AMERICA
in Idaho, and dedicate this day to the efforts of chiropractic doctors in helping to educate our young citizens on the importance of health, safety, and environmental issues affecting our communities.
